Peek-A-Boo

One of my favorite shots of the day from the Governor's Inauguration. Brian & Linda Schatz's daughter Mia is peeking out of the columns of Iolani Palace as they wait for the processional to begin. Both Mia and her brother Tyler took turns peeking out at the crowd. Moments like this? Priceless.

Happy 4th of July 2010!

Happy Fourth of July! There's something magical about the sparks emitted by sparklers. They have that unique shape and color. Shot while playing with sparklers at a friend's house using a Canon 7D and my Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. ISO400 at 1/250th of a second, f/5.6 and a focal length of 135mm.
