Purple Pair
Digging back in my archives, this is one of my favorites. Not really visible unless you view the large version, the yellow pollen makes for a striking color contrast against the purple petals. Dunno what these flowers are but they’re beautiful. These were photographed in San Mateo, California.
Wet Chalk
Another in what I like to call, urban textures. Simple composition but rich with texture and color …
One, Two, Three
Three spots on the feathers of a peacock at the Honolulu Zoo. Love the texture and colors, too bad the peacock ate my food while I was distracted, those are some sneaky birds!
Ferris Wheel
I like refreshing changes of angle in a composition — this isn’t one. Overdone to death I know, but i like it nonetheless…
Forest within the Forest
I love the tiny sun dappled areas in the rain forest where life takes hold over something that’s died and starts anew. I always wonder what little insects and bugs make their home here, in the nice green meadow of moss…
Orange Abstract Thingamajiggy
Can you guess what this object is? Comment below, we’ll see if anyone can figure this one out.
This was photographed through a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 held in front of the camera (reversed) with the aperture wide open.
Swiss Army
Shot via a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 reversed (hand held in front of camera but backwards). The colors and blur are as shot, slightly saturated and the vignette was in post (some of it). You can see a huge dust smudge on the hour hand in the lower left, ick!
