Palo Alto Green

Green is my favorite color and partly because it’s the color of nature. And its the color of my birthstone. And its pretty to look at, soothing. I dunno, call me weird, whatever. Green is it. This photo is one of the last photos taken with film, slide film even. Probably Velvia 50 and probably my Nikon N80. Problem with film is there’s not metadata! he he he. My buddy Lee and I decided to go early one morning into the hills surrounding Palo Alto, CA for some photo inspiration. This hill was in the parking lot near Roche, just south of Stanford University and just off the 280. It was lush and green and the day was overcast. It was a lot of fun that day and I’ve got a few other good shots but unfortunately it was a pain to scan these back in the day ( I used a dedicated film scanner, remember those? ).

  1. This is quite nice. I like it? It looks like HDR.

Thanks Scott, it was just super shallow DOF from a 50mm f/1.4 and slide film scanned with a film scanner. Love the greens! =)
